Banda Neira is an indie pop-folk duo of singer-songwriters Ananda Badudu and Rara Sekar. The two met at college where both were actively involved in the campus media group, Media Parahyangan. Ananda Badudu currently lives in Jakarta and works as a reporter for Tempo, meanwhile Rara Sekar is a social worker based in Bali. After releasing a four song EP in August 2012, their full-length album, Berjalan Lebih Jauh is planned to be released in April 2013. Their music has been described as "miserable pop" or in Indonesian it is called "nelangsa riang".
