Pete Perignon

Latin Grammy Award winner Pete Perignon was born in Carolina, Puerto Rico 21 of June 1989 son of Pedro Luis Morales Cortijo “Don Perignon” y Maribel Donato Morales and began his musical studies at the age of seven years with Professor Raúl Rodriguez, then the extension program of the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music. At age 10 he continued his studies at the School of Fine Arts with Raúl Rodriguez and David Marcano both MEINL artists. While attending the School of Fine Arts Pete began performing in various bands and at 15 he had the opportunity to be part of the orchestra "Nklabe" where he remained for four years and played in the most prestigious stages in the world. In 2008 Pete had the opportunity to join the orchestra "NG2" and played with them for 5 years.

During his musical career Pete Perignon has had the opportunity to work in recordings and performances with artists and orchestras such as Gilberto Santa Rosa, Victor Manuelle, Johnny Rivera, Don Perignon, Maelo Ruiz, Tommy Olivencia, Elias Lopes, Puerto Rican Power, Domingo Quinones , Yandel, Ken Y, Paquito Guzman, Jerry Rivera, Orquesta La Mulenze, Juan Velez, Charlie Cruz, Luisito Carrion, Jose Lugo "Gusabara Big Band" Cano Estremera, Jose Alberto "El Canario", and Luis Perico Ortiz among others.

As a recording artist Pete has had the opportunity to work with producers like Ramon Sanchez and Luis "Perico" Ortiz. As a musical director Pete has had the chance to lead bands to accompany Frankie Ruiz Jr., Anthony Cruz, Luigui Texidor, Choco Orta, and Charlie Cruz.

Recently Pete had the honor to receive a Latin Grammy award for his participation in the album by Gilberto Santa Rosa "Need A Bolero".
